Getting Started

How do I introduce Loved.co to my family member(s)?

Start by explaining how Loved.co helps everyone stay connected and makes caregiving easier through daily check-in calls and a custom family app. Show them a quick demo and let them know they’re in control of what’s shared.

What if my loved one is hesitant to use technology?

Loved.co is simple and intuitive, and your loved one can limit their use of the app to simply answering Claire’s calls if they choose. Start small, help answer a phone call and add Claire to their phone contacts. Regularly check in and help them build comfort at their own pace.

Is there a free trial?

We do not offer a free trial at this time. You can review our features and support resources or contact us at support@loved.co before subscribing to find the right fit for your family.

Features & Capabilities

What can Loved.co help us coordinate?

Loved.co centralizes care coordination. You can share appointment reminders, medication schedules, task assignments, and health updates, all in one place.

What information can caregivers see, and what can they not see?

Your loved one controls what information is shared. Caregivers can access schedules and care tasks, but not private health records or personal conversations unless access is granted.

Is Loved.co replacing family interaction?

No. Loved.co is designed to simplify care planning and management, so you can spend less time coordinating and more time enjoying meaningful moments together as a family.

Claire’s Capabilities & Limitations

Is Claire a real person?

No, Claire is an AI assistant built into Loved.co to help with reminders and medication management, flag possible health concerns, offer guidance on common wellness topics, and answer common care questions. While not human, we’ve designed her to be helpful and responsive.

Can my loved one call Claire?

Yes! Claire is available around the clock, so your loved one can reach her any time of day or night, whether it’s a quick question or just a friendly check-in. That’s why we encourage you to save Claire as a contact in your loved one’s phone so she’s always just one call away whenever she’s needed.

What happens if my parent has a medical emergency?

Claire and Loved.co are not able to respond to urgent medical situations. If your loved one experiences an emergency, they should contact 911 or local emergency services right away. Claire will prompt users to seek immediate help if an emergency is mentioned during a conversation.

Can Claire alert me immediately if something’s wrong?

Claire does not provide real-time emergency alerts. While the platform is designed to support communication and reminders, it cannot notify family members instantly in the event of a medical emergency.

Does Claire know when to call 911?

Claire cannot contact emergency services on your behalf. If a conversation suggests an urgent situation, Claire will encourage your loved one to call 911 or reach out for immediate help.

Can Claire detect health changes automatically?

At this time, Claire does not automatically detect health changes. Loved.co offers tools to help track routines and wellness, but any concerns about health changes should always be discussed with a medical professional.

How does the AI learn about my loved one’s preferences?

The AI companion learns through daily conversations with Claire and the preferences entered by the owner of the care circle. It adapts its responses to match your loved one’s interests and engaging experience over time.

What can’t Claire do?

Claire cannot diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, treat mental health crises, make medical decisions, or make legal or financial decisions. For anything urgent or serious, contact your doctor, call 911, or reach out to a crisis helpline. Claire is best at giving reminders, managing schedules, and keeping your care team organized. Always consult a real person when in doubt.

Setting Up Care Schedules

How do I create a daily routine or care schedule?

You can easily build custom daily routines right from your account dashboard. Simply select the specific times for meals, medications, and activities. The platform then automatically sends gentle reminders to keep everyone on track.

Can I change the reminder times after setting them up?

Adjusting schedules is quick and simple. You can log in to your account at any time to update reminder frequencies or shift specific appointments. The system immediately applies these updates to ensure seamless care coordination.

Managing Multiple Family Members

Can multiple family members be involved in care coordination?

Yes, multiple family members can take an active role in care coordination. Loved.co is designed to support collaborative caregiving, giving everyone access to shared schedules, reminders, and updates.

Can we each see different information?

Yes. There are different levels of admin and permission settings for owners, administrators, and members. Each care team member sees only the information relevant to their role. The owners and administrators for the account remain in control of who sees what.

Can grandchildren help too?

Absolutely! Grandchildren can be part of the care team as long as they’re at least 16 years old. They’ll get their own login and can participate in care tasks, keeping everyone connected and involved.

How do we coordinate care tasks among different team members?

You can assign specific duties to care team members. Everyone can see who’s handling appointments, errands, or daily check-ins, making collaboration clearer and less stressful.

Technical Integration

What devices does Loved.co work on?

Loved.co works on iPhones, Android smartphones, and most tablets. There’s no dedicated app for older phones, but you can access important notifications via SMS if needed.

What if my loved one isn’t comfortable with technology?

Loved.co is designed for simplicity, your loved one only needs a phone to use the service. Claire connects through regular phone calls, so there’s no app to download, no screen to navigate, and no new device to learn. If they can answer a phone call, they can use Loved.co. Start small: help them add Claire to their contacts and answer the first call together, then let them build comfort at their own pace.

Does it work without internet at home?

Yes. For the senior, all that’s needed is a phone, either a landline or a cell phone. Family members and caregivers will need a smartphone or tablet with internet connectivity to receive updates and stay connected through the platform. The interface is designed to be highly accessible and user-friendly for all ages.

Do I need special software to use the app?

Loved.co works directly through your mobile device or tablet. Simply log in to access all features.

Privacy and Data Security

How does Loved.co protect my family’s privacy?

We take your family’s data security very seriously. The platform uses advanced encryption to keep all conversations and health information completely private. You always maintain full control over your account settings and personal details.

Who has access to the data collected by the AI companion?

Only authorized care team members can view your family’s updates and schedules. We never sell your personal information to third parties. You decide exactly who gets access to your loved one’s profile.

Is Loved.co HIPAA compliant?

Yes. Loved.co meets HIPAA security and privacy standards. While we’re not required to be HIPAA compliant as a family care coordination app (HIPAA applies to doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies), we’ve built our infrastructure to meet those standards because your family’s health information deserves that level of protection. This means your data is encrypted, access is strictly controlled, and we have formal processes in place to keep your information secure. We also never sell your family’s information. For questions about how we protect your information, contact support@loved.co.

What about consent and data sharing?

Your loved one is always in control. Any sharing of information, whether with a caregiver, family member, or healthcare provider, requires explicit consent. You can revoke access at any time.

What happens if my loved one wants to stop using Loved.co?

An administrator can pause or close their account at any time. You can request data deletion, and you will never be locked in.

Is my data stored in the cloud? Can it be breached?

Your data is securely stored in the cloud using enterprise-grade encryption and multi-factor authentication. However, no system is completely immune to risk; if a breach ever occurs, we will follow legal notification requirements and support affected users every step of the way.
